You can choose to set either a one-time notification or to receive daily notifications for a Sun event at your current location. The Sun Tracker AR app creates a new custom calendar under your device 'Calendar' and adds the selected notifications to it.
One-time notification
1. Go to 'Details' in the tab bar.
2. Select a Sun event and schedule the notification.
Daily notification (the Premium version only)
1. Go to 'Settings' in the tab bar > Daily notifications.
2. Select a Sun event and schedule the notification.
The Sun Tracker calculates and displays the Sun's position with a high level of accuracy. Nevertheless, the accuracy of the AR projection depends on the accuracy of the compass and the accuracy of the location services. Both the compass of your device and location services could be influenced by the environment and/or your device settings. If the Sun is not appearing in the right location, the following tips may help to resolve it.
1. Make sure that the compass is not disrupted by other magnetic fields or is not shielded inside a structure. Stay away from all metal objects, preferably outdoors.
2. Avoid using iPhone EMF cases that block electromagnetic fields or cases containing magnets.
3. Make sure that the compass is enabled and calibrated before reading the AR and compass data from the app. Go to your iPhone Settings > Privacy > Location Services > then scroll down and tap System > turn on the Compass Calibration and Motion Calibration & Distance.
4. Make sure that Location services are enabled AND Location Services for the app are set to 'While Using'.
5. Restart the app and rotate your device several times in a figure ∞.
6. You can align the AR projection manually. Go to the 'AR' view and tap on the 'Hand' icon in the top right corner and align the AR projection with the Sun.
